Been ages since I've met Angie, and when we finally did managed to agree on a day for lunch, she suggested Sangeetha.
It was a warm day, but she felt like having indian food, so Sangeetha, with it's comfortable setting and cooling air-con seems like the perfect choice.
The menu looks confusing and we did the shortcut by order 2 sets which consists of a bit of everything :p
Got our drinks first..
My Mango Lassi (RM7)![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVZszdqco3RAO5HdOn2Frf8YSd2fEctb7PeR73r1e1U4mwjXFCC4QTHVexL-MUPAxtPtjMb7wZzi1WH__0V1x58p7tHpFtXeJ9thzkZLppD6huAhyphenhyphen7OIaCwuYDR8pDitbT9EIx0N3XAmk/s400/IMG_0276.JPG)
Thick layer of yogurt mixed with fresh mango puree. Nice and rich, slightly sourish- definitely perked up my appetite for my meal. Angie's Triveni drink (RM7.50) was recommended by the manager. It was refreshing, tasted like a fusion version of ginger ale.
Chilled tomato soup before the meal..![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaeMQxOkxmW2_m1BjcwomvD9tuJ8of6Tg4QRuislD_ep5b4JrSNNj1zqu9XIMJ71oUzOHoYGGJLXKvwkEg-GD7DOXf9eJDZEYbH6D8JYMzIpabohcigBTa_TWxXTnv6H80Lh7yAhTgkjI/s400/IMG_0273.JPG)
Although the soup was thick, the tomato flavour was subtle, not sour at all. Rather creamy, the more I drank it, the tastier it gets.
The Sangeetha Set (RM12)![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSzgyBSE6xQqZIhjVPI7R-cDvx7qMfAUkQ40LqR3oqjWIvghyEGnTcRvqaD0Mv5rfEgYdvpZpilGLtsjVSjeJh1Fx7G6SwYXG3KaViOtHXxY-ZtSdnb7euxCaFdBqE1wq7aqjDP05sIJ4/s400/IMG_0275.JPG)
Loved the colours and the aroma, so much vegetarian dishes (and served with rice and roti canai), I really didnt know where to start. I cant recall the names of all the dishes, but it's southern indian dishes with a combination of vegetables such as long bean, cauliflower, beansprouts, dhall, potatoes etc. Sugee (the bright orange bowl) was the dessert. I feel that Sangeetha's take on southern indian food lighter, not as salty and rich, which I was happy with.
I prefer the Punjabi Set (RM16) though..![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYA8sZQwdCKFDQkmy6M_ipDJch9XGZWKteYh8fOpCzNtMibVNfBW_iOcyDG2It0wiAqoKOIy-_dWYj0wUJJeKOtjJ8Ec29ku93jL165DITWw473YGOmjupPlt5GLHvrSS_OJoFW6yVeZo/s400/IMG_0278.JPG)
The set was a combo of spiced rice, naan and an assortment of dishes (less than Sangeetha set though). The masala vegetable got my vote, it was ultra delish- it was very hard to believe that there's no meat in that dish. The palak paneer was pretty nice too, goes well with the rice. I love the sweet meat too (the square cube)- I cant recall the name- but it tasted like a compact version of chinese dragon beard candy.
There's still a number of interesting dishes I'll like to try here, so, am definitely coming back soon :).
