Pork Noodles @ Restoran New Lay Sin, Brickfields

Louis introduced me to this stall about 6 years ago, when we were in Brickfields and he said there's a nice little pork noodles stall smack in the middle of busy Brickfields.
I laughed it off, thought that he was joking..minutes later, we were waiting for our pork noodles in the coffeeshop..hehe..aahh, such fond memories.
I was there recently, and remembering the pork noodles, decided to pop over for a quick dose of porky goodness..
The restaurant was extremely pack, very humid and stuffy..still, customers were either waiting patiently for the noodles or tucking into the banana leaf rice (another famous stall there). We placed our orders; pork with our choice of noodles ( kuey teow, bee hoon, yellow noodles, loh shu fun etc), served with or without egg.
I opted for kuey teow without egg (RM3.50 for regular)..

The smooth kuey teow laid at the bottom, while the top of the bowl was filled generously with mince pork, sliced pork and liver and a dollop of fried lard. A good amount of choy sum was added so that we dont get overdosed on pork while the light soy sauce with bird's eye chilli complements the noodles prettily. The soup, obviously from hours of boiling, was sweet (partly with msg too..hehe) and rich, no porky 'smell' at all and tiny hints of tung choy. Have it hot, with chilli; sharing table with strangers, slurping down the noodles; while sweating as the coffeeshop is really warm and humid..This is as malaysia as you can get..hehe. Do enjoy :)

Restoran New Lay Sin is located at Brickfields, facing the huge T-junction (to and fro Bangsar or KL Sentral junction). I've forgotten to jot down the road name, my apologies..Also, it's walking distance from KL Sentral (perhaps 10 minutes).
