Assaf Lebanese Cuisine, Central, Hong Kong

After dinner at Yung Kee, George suggested coffee and dessert at Assaf, a Lebanese restaurant.
This is the best Lebanese restaurant in Hong Kong! he exclaimed with excitement..
We walked over from Yung Kee and soon we found ourselves at Assaf's entrance (it's just a few shops away from Tai Cheong Bakery at Lindhurst Terrace).

A small cosy restaurant that could probably sit 30 customers, this restaurant looks inviting nonetheless. Delicious smell wafted through the air the moment we stepped in and I sort of regretted we ate so much at Yung Kee (else, I could have my second dinner here!!) hahaha..

So we had some Lebanese Coffee..

Slightly herbalish, it was not as thick as it looks.

We had 2 types of Baklavas...While both are delicious, I prefer the square ones as it's heavily soaked in rose syrup and the pastry was really wafer thin. And loads of pistachio nuts. Yums..

We also had some Halawe....

Looks like nougat but it's much softer in texture and almost melt in mouth. Though it's a tad sweet, this dessert was very fragrant and light; the chopped pistachios and dried fruits adds more bite to this sweet treat.

I saw other tables having mains which looks equally delicious *drools*. gosh, am such a pig..

After dessert, we decided to have drinks at Isola, located between the IFC Towers..

While enjoying the night breeze, the captivating scenery and sipping my cocktail, I am pretty sure the remaining 8 days in Hong Kong would be a blast! :)

As I gaze up to the dark sky, the IFC looks amazing...

Well, quite a nice place to end my first day in HK i guess ;)
